If you had always thought that TV stars looked too perfect, then you were right. With the advent of more HD TV Channels, broadcasters are giving pampered newsreaders a makeover.
Sky TV, the satellite giant owned by Rupert Murdoch has reassured stars such as Eammonn Holmes and Kay Burley that they will get the makeup, hair and wardrobe ready for the high definition switch happening next spring.

Sky News bosses are concerned that high definition will show detail four times clearer than standard definition. This means that every blemish, pimple and wrinkle will be visible to the poor viewing public.
Previously a Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys, affectinately known as 'the werewolf' had hair removed from his hands prior to HD turn on.
A spokeperson said:- "Everyone is worried from the anchors to reporters on the ground. They have all been assured that they will still look good."
Well, with wars breaking out everywhere, and the great economic depression we are all in. It is good to know they have their priorities right.

Internet TV is all well and good but when you want to see it on the big TV screen, game consoles are the number one method for watching web streams on your television set.
According to research by In-Stat, consoles will be the preferred medium of Web to TV devices. And by the year 2013, over 10.7 million will be in use for this purpose.
It makes sense of course, everyone owns an Xbox or Playstation and most people hook it up to the big TV screen. Microsoft have 30 million Xbox 360′s in the market and Sony 23 million units. Add Nintendo to the mix and you have a lot of popular devices ready for online TV.
Other Internet TV devices such as Tivo are actually losing subscribers, Roku and Vudu arent exactly setting the world on fire either. The survey also suggests that by 2013 the number of US households watching Online TV will rise to 24 million from the current 2.5 million currently.
The Console manufacturers realise the potential and are all jumping aboard online TV and turning the humble console into an entertainment hub. All the big guns are lining up content partners and Microsoft have already added a Netflix capability to its consoles. Youtube is rife in console land and it will grow and grow.
Currently hooking your PC up to your television screen is not the easiest thing in the world to do, but imagine being able to browse and watch straight from a device you already own and use for gaming.
It makes perfect sense, but just means i'll need to upgrade from my Playstation one now.

In line with the many recent changes to the video website that is Youtube. They have now launched a section that is dedicated to playing movie trailers.
Now some of you may say that you have always been able to watch trailers on Youtube. And you would be right. But to find them you had to type in the movie name and wade through to find the trailers.
Now on the 'official' trailers channel you are able to navigate more easily via different buttons such as Latest, Popular, In Theatres and Opening Soon tabs.
A Youtube spokesperson said :- "Trailers have always been popular on the site, and we got a lot of feedback from users and partners and there should be a place on the site specifically for them."
This could be a challenge to the most popular movie trailer website around in Apples site. Arch rival Hulu also has plenty of trailers to view on its own website.
Its great to have another trailer site and it has been added to the online video sites movie trailer websites area.
